core.winedevice zst files??

Post by msetzerii »

Was looking around system and found files in /var/lib/systemd/coredump
This is one example.
-rw-r-----+ 1 root root 1214597 Aug 28 13:20 'core.winedevice\x2eexe.1000.07eccc76309f41279cb70e85a19ae5d0.290506.1661656836000000.zst'

Is there a way to see what it refers to? Is there a program to see what is in it.
gnome-open just brings up file manager, and hexedit view of file doesn't show anything readable as text in it?

Saw some searches shows winedevice.exe being a trojan in windows for mining, but other things show it as a valid wine program, and date/time matches with other wine programs.

Just coredump files usually mean something went wrong?

Thanks.
