Bad display for a software

Post by wormsf »

Hello
I have Mint 20 linux, I have installed wine-5.0 (Ubuntu 5.0-3ubuntu1)
through wine I run an accounting software
when I move the mouse, the list of operations in the main window is no longer readable
Capture d’écran du 2020-11-06 00-50-22.JPG
the software uses the windows function "ListView" for display

Try installing comctrl32.dll (I think that's the name) using winetricks and see if it helps or not.

Also - is this an open source program such that I might be able to download and try it out to see?

Wouldn't let me add to above so I have to ask separately - what desktop are you running (Mate, Cinnamon, xfce, etc.)?
I don't know if this is a solution for your problem, so I'll just ask if you have tried

Code: Select all

winetricks settings fontsmooth=disable

It was not in my signature :
  • wine-5.0 (Ubuntu 5.0-3ubuntu1)
  • Linux 5.4.0-52-generic Mint 20 Cinnamon

My French is not very good, so I hope I tested the right program, Ymsoft Comptes Bancaires version 10.1
I only get this program working in a 32-bit Wineprefix with the winetricks: jet40 and mdac28
Did you use any winetricks?

It could also be a font problem. Have you installed the Linux package ttf-mscorefonts-installer?

It's the right software
it runs under Wine 32 bits,
yes through winetricks I have installed jet40 and mdac28, and under linux I have the package ttf-mscorefonts-installer

As said in my first mail, the software uses Microsoft function called "ListView", to display for display

wine: Read access denied for device L"\\??\\z:\\", FS volume label and serial are not available
only a warning about drive access
