There is a surplus corel painter license we have.
If I donate to a winehq maintainer, is there a possibility that corel painter will run on winehq?
All of the current versions are garbage and will not run installer.

AFAICT the Corel apps all have free trials, so i guess there`s no need for a license if developers really wanted to fix this they would already have done so.

I tried a few of these trials in the past and also Painter2020 trial now.
I came as far as getting it installed with errors, had to copy over a few dlls that were left behind in tmp folder (not installed correctly) and ended with a blank window when i tried to start the program... The problem afaict is that they all (Corel apps) rely heavily on Internet Explorer (installed and) working correctly and that just doesn`t work well enough atm; wine`s iexplore.exe and related dlls just seem to be stubby for now is my guess.

hi. I forgot that corel had a trial. That is certainly the case. The same is true for 2020.
Certainly the installer does not work. Is it difficult?
But linux has great drawing software such as mypaint and krita, so i don't be pessimistic.
Anyway, thank you!
