I have a program that I am trying to run that does not accept Windows XP as a suitable OS, so I tried to change the Wine OS to windows 10 under configuration. It "changed" the OS, making it look like I was running in windows 10, but when I reloaded the application it still identified the wine OS as Windows XP. I have the latest version of Wine and MacOS mojave. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What wine version were you using?
It sounds like your using a third party utility as changing the Windows version will work unless winecfg also has other exe files set to use different windows versions
