:?: Cannot CreateNetLib stop error

Hello all,

I haven't been back here in quite some time. I'm trying to get MechCommander2 to run, but I'm seeing a stop error saying "Cannot CreateNetLib - Startup - Error: 8004002c (NLERR_CANTGETCAPS)". I can't find any information about this error online, so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. What does this error mean? Do you need any more information?

I'm seeing other errors prior to this one, but this is the one that stops the execution of the program. And, like I said, I can't find any info on this error.

Do you mean, adding that to the run command? Like 'wine [exe name here] winetricks -q directplay' ?

Ok, done. I think it downloaded directx 2010 during that install.

Whats next?

Edit: So I just decided to try and run the game, I got the same errors as last time, but after clicking continue a few times I got to the main menu!

Still getting a-lot of errors though.

Its looking like I'm getting this error: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager. ... n&iId=3921 . Do we know why this error is still around? Seems like an old one.

Some bugs stay around because nobody fixes them. But the appdb page does contain workarounds, right?

Sadly, no. The window just resizes to 800x600.

The tester did say that the video playback was too slow to actually play the game as well. I haven't managed to test that myself yet.
