I have a Gentoo Linux installation and I use the port Wine-Any-4.0.
I use a game Dragon Age II because it's the one that always made the fewest problems, appearing nearly unbreakable under any platform.
Under Gentoo, the film sequences remained black, some display artifacts appear and finally Wine crashes.
I could resolve the black sequences issue by downgrading libv4l, but nothing else.
When I boot Debian and use the prefix created under Gentoo, everything works perfectly.
Any hints?

Generally you shouldn't need USE +v4l - to support any game.
Since this is typically used, by Wine, for video capture (from supported hardware devices).
- Could you post a copy of your Portage =app-emulation/wine-any-4.0 package build log?
- Also a terminal log is pretty much required - to support a diagnosis of any Wine issues.
See: WineHQ FAQ: 10.1.1 How can I get a debugging log (a.k.a. terminal output)?
