@Qblolz
We'd probably need more information to be able to help you (unless there are any WOW players around with a similar issue)...
Are you sure that holding more keys improves performance?
That would be unusual to say the least!

- What version of Wine / Wine Staging are you using?
- Are you using dxvk (alternate DirectX11 renderer)?
- Are you using vkd3d (DirectX12 render path)?
- Are you using wine-esync (integrated in Wine Staging ≥4.6))?
- WineHQ AppDB: Online (MMORPG) Games / World of Warcraft / 8.1
- Bug 46988 - World of Warcraft - d3d12 performance

Re: World of Warcraft problem with fps
WoTLK Client hu, I noticed Wine-4.x versions have some slowdowns you might want to try say Wine-Staging-3.21. I noticed I get better performance over all using Wine-3.21 the. Wine-4.x in most cases.
At least current wine versions handle DirectX9 I remember when that WoTLK was live I was forced to play using OpenGL but it ran great even when raiding ICC25 zoomed all the way out

Look for bartender or some other UI addon that replaces the stock Blizzard bars.Qblolz wrote:Guys...prolem - count of icons(spells) on spellbar will decrease fps :/

Re: World of Warcraft problem with fps
I tested out my Suggest of downgrading the used wine version to Wine-Staging-3.21, I no longer have the random lockups/slowdowns and my mouse is working good again where before it would slowdown I can’t have that when tanking/healing.
Stock UI with Carbonote and baggon as the only addons that we’re for both tests on two different WoLTK servers using 3.3.5a clients.

Re: World of Warcraft problem with fps
I tried all variants:
wine version - 3.21 staging / 3.20 / latest
with addons / without addons / with only 1 addon - bartender
And still have issue that too many spells on panel decrease fps
p.s.
I run WoW with logs and find this:
mb this is problem ?
wine version - 3.21 staging / 3.20 / latest
with addons / without addons / with only 1 addon - bartender
And still have issue that too many spells on panel decrease fps
p.s.
I run WoW with logs and find this:
Code: Select all
failed to open C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft/Data/Interface/Icons

I checked and I also get the same thing but the game runs just fine on two different servers each with there provided clients (one stock one wod models)Qblolz wrote:I tried all variants:

I was leveling in Northend without game slowdowns bar lag at peak times.
I'm running on a mid 2014 13inch MacBook Pro, so I'm running of an Intel Iris integrated GPU.
Maybe something else is causing these slowdowns?

Wod models: no
I think its problem with gpu drivers - soon I will change gpu to rtx 2060 or 1070 and will update thread.
p.s. thx for responses^^
