Wondering whats going on here, I'm sure the memory addresses aren't relevant but I left them in just in case.
Running the executable will load the intro movie, but then the game itself isn't shown on screen, only a screen of white. I believe this is because of the decompression of the colors failing? I'm not sure though.

This is what is shown on program launch. Game logic seems to be intact. Again, this only displays a blank white screen, the size of the gameplay window. Closing the application via esc allows the game image to display for a quick second and then disappear.

whoops sorry. Sid Meier's alpha centauri on macOS. I haven't linked any winetricks yet. I am using the most recent stable version of wine.

Usually you want to say the exact macOS version your on it could make a difference. For example I’m running macOS 10.14.1 (Mojave) so I need to give additional permissions to wine sometimes as compared to High Sierra and below.thehubmn wrote:whoops sorry. I checked the appdb and it shows the GOG version is Platinum on Wine 3.10, so you would be better starting with that or the latest development wine version.
Wine stable is not usually recommended for games as it will be based on the last “stable” version that now almost 1 year old. Even wine 3.0.4 does not have the never changes that would have been included in 3.19 even thought wine 3.0.4 was released after 3.19.
For future reference always check the winehq appdb it usually give you a good place to start.
For wine always test using the most recent wine staging or wine devel version, use wine stable for things that won’t be updated regularly aka not games.
