I get a black screen and the same terminal output as electricnight.
When I emulate a virtual desktop in winecfg the program does run.
wine 3.4 error - module:import_dll Library MSVCR100_CLR0400.

tried that, but had no luck. anything special besides adding the application in winecfg and activating a virtual desktop under the graphics tab?
the fun fact: atm i am using manjaro, so the base (wine from arch upstream) should be identical to darkshadow's, i guess

Does the program not open for you? Do you get a blackscreen? What exactly happens? What doesn't work?
Blackscreen could be due to drivers, I guess, or window manager. I use mesa drivers with KDE Plasma.

well, i get a small black box (logo?) and on top of that an error box with the trusty old: invalid uri: hostname could not be parsed, which closes automatically after 3sec. that's about it already.

Yeah, directed at you. You're also using wine-3.15?
Mind posting "drive_c/ProgramData/romcenter/romcenter_xml.log"? That might contain more information.
Do you maybe have some old configuration of the program? Wine links a few folders from your home, so removing .wine is not always enough.

indeed, there is no other than that in the repo.DarkShadow44 wrote:You're also using wine-3.15?
i would do so, but there is no log file being created even when switching to internal logging.Mind posting "drive_c/ProgramData/romcenter/romcenter_xml.log"? That might contain more information.

no, no old config file, just rc 4.0.
good point. in fact, i only ever deleted the .wine folder before creating a new prefix like this: WINEPREFIX=~/.wine winecfg.Wine links a few folders from your home, so removing .wine is not always enough.
any other steps to take for a "true" fresh prefix besides checking for config leftovers?

No, just deleting the config an the .wine folder should be enough.electricnight wrote:any other steps to take for a "true" fresh prefix besides checking for config leftovers?
Just to make sure, you use RomCenter 4.0.0.rc3 ?
