Application: Hammer World Editor 4.1
Installed via Steam on Wine. The version of Hammer used is from Half-Life 2 bin's directory (also installed in this Steam Wine Windows setup). Additionally with "Source SDK" and "Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer" (both in Steam via >Library >Tools). You then can find hammer.exe in e.g. ../steamapps/common/Half-Life 2/bin/hammer.exe or ../steamapps/common/Source\ SDK\ 2013\ Singleplayer/bin/hammer.exe
THE ISSUE:
There are UI checkboxes for a VisGroup tool (e.g. hide/show models, hide/show world geometry etc.). These checkboxes are always drawn empty, even when checked. Maybe this is application related but I guess this is not application related but just concerning the Windows UI. However I don't really have an idea. Hammer is a WindowsXP-era application and uses the old windows greyish design.
This was tested with Wine Stable (2.02 that is for Ubuntu 17.10 repositories).
And with Wine 3.1-devel via Winehq repository for Ubuntu.
Happens with both versions. For my intel mesa driver I tested with DRI3 and Composite window manager (marco with composite on MATE) and with DRI2 (forced in xorg.conf) and disabled Composite extensions and fluxbox as a window manager). No difference.
