Yeah that's it!
I am tired of waiting for a new release . Been more than 2 months without any official update/news
So I will write here my own feelings since nobody wants to write it
Wine-Staging was a cool project. If its maintenance stil goes on this way then it's better to get back on Windows
That should be the worst beginning of a year for Wine I've never seen for a looooooooooooonnnnnnnnnng time.
I am lucky that they are not on http://patreon.com/ because if it still go this way then they will not receive any donation from myself (just kidding)
Regards
Wine-Staging 3.1 is released...maybe in Marsh or April 2019

+1
Filling a bug for this that means a lot of things, indeed

There has been talks on the IRC channel, and on random sites... Reddit and such.
IRC Channel logs indicate that the maintainer of Lutris would be interested in trying to pick up stuff mostly focused on getting games running (which 3.x misserably fails at atm, and most "random" linux guys use wine for).

Some ideas floating around regarding staging being lost: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/issues/38
The real shame is ofc that with anything "free", you get what you get... and if you complain its either dead silence (like in THIS case), or some sour-pussed snotface putting up the "Bah, if you dont like it, do a better job yourself!".
The more time that goes, the more branching might happen.. and that may or may not be a good thing. Sure you could get some fresh blood into this, however having 3-4-5 different sites to grab wine versions from for things you need running would probably not be all too healthy.
That said, the wine-devs ARE putting up a lot of patches theese days i guess... even tho they mostly just seem like the only thing it accomplishes is to pass test-bot issues
Would be nice to know for sure tho, but i doubt anything will happen. SOME day you will stumble across a wine version that works with the game/app you want, but it probably wont happen by announcement... or fixing known bugs, cos bugzilla is a horrible black hole of nothingness imo

I know this thread. AFAIR there were only 3 or 4 messages less than 10 days agoCybermax wrote:Some ideas floating around regarding staging being lost: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/issues/38
Ouf-of-topic I started to support/test dxvk since I have so many free time to waste without Wine-Staging. TIme to support another project
- Write some documentation for Linux 32 Bits http://www.davidgis.fr/documentation/Bu ... nux32Bits/
- Post some videos about it my own tests on DXVK https://youtu.be/BUI2h46-xxg outdated video, since now we can pick up 70PDS for this demo

Where is Wine Staging? I see activity, but nothing posted: https://dev.wine-staging.com/timeline/
I see a build completing on the 10th of Feb, but it is not pushed out. Why is it not appearing yet? Anyway, I get the feeling that Wine staging was absorbed by WineHQ for the sole purpose of killing it, but it is just a feeling ATM.
Since I don't know anyone who runs Wine Stable or Wine Dev (Does anyone even use the stable branch? The people I know that did had abandoned Wine until I gave them a link to Staging. Wine Stable really is of little use to almost any use case), I think Wine Staging should be the priority if it is still alive.

That build was of the 3.1 development packages. They are in the repository.I see a build completing on the 10th of Feb, but it is not pushed out. Why is it not appearing yet?
