KOF XIII + Wine STEAM + Gamepads

Post by RafiLinux »

I have a lot of gamepads that I use to play games on my main gaming rig, HTPC and gaming laptop.

On all of these devices, I have KOF XIII installed via wine-2.11 (Staging) through Lutris.

Here are the gamepads that work without any issue

* TTX Tech Universal Wired Controller
* dreamGEAR Arcade Fighter Classic Pad
* Classic Retro N64 Bit USB Wired Controller

These do not
* Steam Controller
* Logitech Gamepad F310

All of these gamepads work for all of my other natively installed Linux and emulated games.

The F310, is seen by the game, shows up on 'WINE CONTROL' but when I go to assign the button in the game menu, the assign window closes before I can press anything. It's lighting fast. None of the buttons already assigned by the game work.

So I used AntiMicro and assigned to the gamepad the keyboard presses. Now the gamepad works and I can play but the buttons assigned in AntiMicro and the ones automatically assigned in the game conflict and a Low Punch will sometimes be a THROW or Taunt and the other buttons do something else randomly also.

At this point I can not tell if this is a WINE issue or the game itself.

Steam Controller does not work @ all on STEAM WINE.

Any tips or hints to get me going?
