Understanding what I installed via Lutris

Post by RafiLinux »

I installed KOF XIII via Lutris and it runs great.

Now I would like to create a bash script to run this game via Wine/Winetricks the same way it runs in Lutris but without Lutris having to be open.

The problem is - that I am new to using WINE and have trouble seeing what it is actually doing to know how to replicate it.

Any pointers would be welcomed.

Reading the documentation would be a good place to start.

I am doing this but the way Lutris handles this game is very different and I am unable to see the nuts and bolts of how it has been put together.

On Lutris - the game opens with STEAM not showing up outside of a quick flash for the bar that says "account name logging in" from STEAM - Then it goes right into the game. Then when I close the game, WineSTEAM shuts down with automatically. So I never see STEAM.

I have another version of it with WineSTEAM but it's like the way STEAM normally works but I just want to open and close the game as quickly as possible without seeing STEAM running.

@RafiLinux

The short answer is that Lutris doesn't have to do anything. See The King of Fighters XIII: Lutris install script ...
So the game should run OK OTTB with vanilla Wine (in theory)... 8)
