Installing a windows computer game on Mac using WINE

So I just finished downloading Wine. And when I try to install the computer game through the command wine LeagueofLegends.exe' , I always get the error:

err:seh:raise_exception Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 10 addr 0x0

I have cd-ed to the correct directory (desktop) so I know thats not an issue. Can somebody please help me solve this problem? I followed the following tutorial: http://davidbaumgold.com/tutorials/wine-mac/

I meant: LeagueofLegends.exe' -> LeagueofLegends.exe

Your tutorial was fine for wine in general, but now you need to look
at game-specific tutorials.

League of Legends is a pain in the a** to install at the moment.
I've done it, and it works, but you have to patch wine.
See the HOWTO and first few comments in

for various recipes to follow. Try one.

Okay, thanks for the link.

Both bugs' platforms refer to x86 linux, but i use mac. is this a problem?

and sorry to be so bothersome, but also which specific recipe did you follow and how do you patch wine? just down the file and run it from wine?

so i tried to patch it using the first recipe, but i got an error:

can't find file to patch at input line 11
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?

what does that mean?
