Wine refusing to open even with 64-bit support

Post by dingusgeek »

Basically, when I open the wine, it refuses to open because it cants run 32-bit apps even though when I install the wine app using the .pkg file, I select the 64-bit support option. It might just be that the 64-bit support is still in development, I haven't really looked into it that much, but can someone please tell me what I can do about this, or if there is no 64-bit option yet? any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

Winehq wine packages, “Wine Stable”, “Wine Devel” & “Wine Staging” use a 32Bit binary launcher for the “app” but internally it does contain wine64.

You can ether check the macOS wiki section where I listed how to add wine to your user PATH, or install using brew and the formula(s) add wine into PATH so you no longer need to launch the app.
