Playing RAGE and ETQW in 2020

Okay, so I checked the WineHQ tests for RAGE and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, and but none of them are recent. I'm trying to play RAGE in Wineskin with several different wrappers, but none of them work. I keep getting errors like "SetPixelFormat failed" and "wglcreatecontext failed".

I have a Macbook Pro running on El Capitan with 16 GB of RAM, an Intel HD 3000 graphics card with 512 MB of RAM, and using every wrapper version I can find from 2.6.2 to 2.9.0.6, and none of them are working. My Macbook should be overqualified to play at least one of these games in Wineskin. So what's going on?

If there's a version of the Wineskin wrapper I can use that could play these games AND work on El Capitan, I haven't found it. So I would really appreciate it if someone could help me find it.

Saying the version of Wineskin being used is meaningless.

What wine version is being used, also terminal output is needed.
As your using Wineskin that’s Engine version and using “Test Run” then attach the contents of LastRun log

Look, I just want to know what I can try doing to get these games working right. It doesn't matter how I do it. I just want it done. I've had these games laying useless on my hard drive for weeks.

I tried playing the games with WINE 2.0.2 and 5.0. Neither worked.

You want to know what to do, yet haven’t provided any Terminal output (Winehq package) nor LastRun (Wineskin)

Without having the requested information nobody can attempt to help you get these items running

Use the winetricks menu and install dotnet40 or later the error shows it’s looking for a component of .Net 4.0 or later

Also the version of wine being used is frankly ancient current wine-stable is 5.0.1, so I’ll assume you still running the official version of Wineskin from doh123 (it’s been dead for years now) and not my tail fork

I tried it again in another wrapper that did have dotnet40 installed. Still wouldn't work.

I also tried opening Rage.exe with Wine Stable 5.0. It just closes immediately.

Well, until I find out how to work it in Wine, I'm experimenting with Parallels Desktop 14. It's slightly better in that I can actually start RAGE, though most of the textures are missing (including all the walls, floors, etc.). I'll find a way to take care of that, though I imagine I'll have to look somewhere else for information.
