NOOB - Setting the path to wine

Post by New2Wine7 » Mon May 04, 2020 2:09 am

Mac OSX 10.11.6
winehq-stable-5.0.pkg installed

I successfully used Wine to install Myst4 and, as it was late, decided to wait until the morning to see the fruits of my effort. In the morn, came the realisation that I didn't know how to execute this application. Checked the manual and followed the instructions therein. Fired up a terminal and found my way to the Myst4.exe file but when I enter:

wine myst4.exe

I get

-bash : wine: command not found

How to I set things up so that it knows where wine is?

I’d personally added instructions for this a while back How to launch wine from terminal instead of the wine application
