Why anti-virus programs report Wine package as malware?

For example the Wine 5.1 staging found here: https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/macosx/download.html (hash: 7bca4195ae5d49ea85ba210bc13eea21943bfc5a522fd418f6885380590cae70)

The AV report:

Seems also that AV issues are not limited to this version only.

It’s a fake positive, wine has moved from using ELF files onto using native PE format windows files.

These being closer to actual Windows exe/dll files improve compatibility with software also means being flagged by anti virus.

You need to mark these these as a false positive.
