Creating a Shortcut on an External Hard Drive

Post by klkerr2 » Mon Mar 18, 2019 9:18 pm

Hi, I am trying to create a shortcut for the sims 4 on my external hard drive so I don't have to run terminal. I have looked at the instructions on the FAQ and tried a few times to follow them but they just don't make any sense to me. The location of the current .exe file is >

/Users/koriekerr/Downloads/The.Sims.4.StrangeVille/The\ Sims\ 4\ StrangeVille/Game/Bin/TS4.exe

I want the shortcut to be in this location on my hard drive >

/Volumes/Hard\ Drive\ 1/Games

The macOS section contains two launcher examples one apple script and the other using bash.

What don’t you understand in the examples as they do provide information explaining what you need to do to make them work for both examples.

If needed I can later rewrite the examples if they need to be make clearer
