I followed the instructions in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndENVl1_n7o
Worked no problem. The game is up and running perfect.
Problem is when I APPLE+TAB to switch out of the game to another application, like if i want to reply to a FB message, and then APPLE+TAB back the game has frozen. The mouse still moves on the screen, but you can no longer interact with the game.
So here are my questions:
1- Is there a fix for this? I need to be able to APPLE+TAB back and forth between the game and applications.
2- How can I run the game in non-full screen mode. I'm hoping that running it in a window might allow me to switch to other applications.
a) I tried running Wineskin.app after already installing the game, and tried changing the screen settings in there, but they never save. I switch to virtual desktop in the ScreenSettings tab and it did not save.
b) Advanced > Config Utility (winecfg) > Graphics > Emulate virtual desktop
Again - set it, but when I come back, nothing has been saved.
3- Everytime i launch the game it's back in full screen.
Running MTG: Arena on my mac (APPLE+TAB) issue
Re: Running MTG: Arena on my mac (APPLE+TAB) issue
macDriver does not support a Virtual Desktop that's why it does not work.
Wineskin-2.6.2 did not disable that option even though it doesn't function with macDriver as by default doh123 wanted to make use of her custom version of X11
