Hi, I am a Mac user and recently installed Wine to use Window based program such as .exe. I have successfully install the .exe program through Wine but after the installation has been successful, I couldn't find the program. When i install a new programs on my Mac, i can easily find the shortcut or icon under Apps in Mac but not for those .exe programmes installed via Wine.
Can someone advise how do i find the programs that have been installed? Thanks.
How to find the .exe program installed via Wine
Re: How to find the .exe program installed via Wine
That really depends on the program but everything will be installed into the wine prefix that you set.
By default that prefix is ~/.wine within that folder you will see the usual Windows folder layouts.
And no after installing something into Wine you won't get any integration like you would a native application, if you want that then you want to purchase CrossOver that does add launchers with icons that show up within Launchpad
If needed you could build a apple-script application launcher to load what ever part of wine/program/game that your wanting to run.
