Hi, I am trying to install visio 2010 from the official MS installer, and it says "you must have administrative privileges to install or uninstall this product".

googled, this no results. Surely this is a common issue?

I installed wine via the download pkg file. This does not install wine in the terminal, instead you have to double click on "wine stable" in the applications, which opens up a wine terminal . In this I simply typed:

$ wine visioinstaller.exe

This pops up with the privileges error.

any suggestions?

FYI, I dont use or have BREW.

When do you get this error exactly? Do the installer even start?
