I use Wine for playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 on my macbook air. The game always ran fine on Wine 1.8 but after a new update it crashed. Therefore I wanted to download a new Wine version and I downloaded Stable 3.0. I deleted the Euro Truck Simulator and the old version of Wine and re-downloaded Euro Truck Simulator 2.
But when I try to execute the setup.exe, it says: Failed to get path of 64-bit Program Files directory.
There is no Program Files directory on my mac anymore on Wine 3.0, but there was a drive_c with Program Files on Wine 1.8.
How do I solve this problem?

Re: Problem installing after reading the Wiki + manual
More information would be needed for anyone to help you.
How did you install Wine3.0 and why are you mentioning Wine1.8 that’s was never compiled to run on macOS officially, I believe wine1.8 is maybe in winebottler/playonmac/Wineskin.
Official winehq builds for macOS start from wine2.0 to current versions.
Wine uses a hidden folder in your home folder .wine, unless your using something other then the wine packages from winehq.
So to me it sounds like your using an old prefix that’s set as 32bit where what your installing is requesting 64Bit.
