To run a game need Windows reboot (wineboot doesn't work)

Post by koleja »

Hi, I started to use wine just today and I tried to install and run some games.
After successful installation I'm not able to run the game 'cuz it need firstly system reboot. I tried already wineboot and even restart of iOS. It didn't help.

I'm trying to run City Life 2006 and my Mac is OS X 10.11.6.

That's what I got from terminal after running it:

MacBook-Pro-Izabela:BIN Koleja$ wine citylife.exe
fixme:ntoskrnl:IoAllocateErrorLogEntry stub: 0x12f90, 48
err:winedevice:async_create_driver failed to create driver L"sfdrv01": c0000135
fixme:ntoskrnl:IoCreateSynchronizationEvent (0x53ed60 0x53ed50) stub
err:winedevice:async_create_driver failed to create driver L"sfhlp02": c000009a
fixme:ntoskrnl:IoAllocateErrorLogEntry stub: 0x13010, 48
err:winedevice:async_create_driver failed to create driver L"sfsync04": c0000135

Then protection window from citylife showed up with info that system reboot is needed and asking if I want to proceed with yes/no options to pick. Whatever I choose I get this:

err:module:attach_process_dlls "PROTECT.DLL" failed to initialize, aborting
err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Monte Cristo\\City Life\\BIN\\citylife.exe" failed, status c0000142

I will be grateful for any ideas :)
