Hi,

That probably depends on whether your Mac's boot disk is formatted using APFS or not.

Currently, any version of Wine may cause kernel panics on High Sierra in conjunction with the APFS filesystem.

As of now, APFS is only used on pure SSD drives, not on tradition HDD's or Fusion Drives.

So if you have a MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro with pure SSD drive, best is to wait upgrading to High Sierra until Apple issues an update.

Perhaps High Sierra 10.13.2 will fix it? Who knows.

I already have High Sierra 10.13.2 and I would like to know if someone has tried Wine 2.21 and if it works. Thank you
