Winetricks not recognized

It says winetricks was saved, but then it says command not found?! How do I make my computer recognize winetricks? Why won't anybody help me?!

EDIT: I tried chmod +x winetricks but it says directory not found. Where do I CD to? Can somebody PLEASE provide the file path and actually be helpful? I'm ignoring the mod's "help". They always provide me with broken files and LOTS of viruses.

EDIT 2: I tried cd winetricks but it still says directory not found! SAD!

EDIT 3: I finally made the file executable. But the problem is that when I double click the file, it says this:
; exit;

wineserver not found!
------------------------------------------------------
logout
Saving session...
...copying shared history...
...saving history...truncating history files...
...completed.
Deleting expired sessions...none found.

What kind of uptime is that? I thought the servers were meant to SERVE. Not waste my time!
