Hello,
I am fairly new to Wine, I have used it for a long time yet I'm not sure how most of it works.
I'm trying to get Windows Steam working on my Mac because I want to install SFM. However, when I load up Steam it cannot connect to the store saying "steamwebhelper.exe has encountered a serious problem".
Wine version is 1.7.37, and Windows Steam is latest.
I installed Corefonts using Winetricks because that was a common solution, but it didn't help.
I also made sure my Windows version was Windows XP in Wine Configuration, still nothing.

Start by upgrading Wine; 1.7.37 is almost two years old and no longer supported. https://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX
