Using software called Sailwave

Hi I am having issues using the program Sailwave on my Macbook. The latest Wine is installed and the Sailwave program works ok except I cannot get the program to open an excel.cv file from the global options. I get a message telling me I have no configured program to open the file. Is this to do with Wine? I have excel installed on my machine.
Can anyone help?

Is it the Windows version, and installed to the same wineprefix as the app that needs it?

Hi, yes it is the Windows version as they don't do a version for Mac os. I am new to Mac and used Wine as a recommended program. My Excel is a Mac version. When I test the file link it shows the file ok but when I try to look into the file I get the message.
