When installing Ms Net 4.0 Wine tricks

Hi Guys,

I have a problem installing MS Net 4.0 over wine tricks. When the Net 4 installer starts, it says 0 MB to download.

Did someone have an idea?

Make sure you have latest version of Winetricks installed:
http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks
If necessary, uninstall previous version of winetricks or overwrite it with new one.

If still does not work, try renaming or removing ~/.cache/winetricks

Hi, thanks for the fast reply..

I don't know, what i do wrong. It doesn't work. Perhaps i miss something. So, here is, how i done it:

I click on this link

and saved it to my download folder. It created the wine tricks.txt

Then i go under information an delete the txt suffix. So, the file became wine tricks
Then i go to library / Application support/wine and overwrite the wine tricks file.
Then i open wine on my mac, create an new prefix and the i go again in the the wine app, and click on wine tricks and apply MS Net 4.0.
After this wine start and when it came to the download it says 0 MB to download.

I do it on Mac OS X 10.10.3

Did you have an idea, why the download is 0 MB ?

Sorry, I do not know anything about Mac OS X. I moved your topic to Mac OS X forum. Hopefully, somebody who have experience with winetricks on Mac OS X will be able to help you.

Since when does Wine have any of that? Maybe your using WineBottler and its Wine.app… which isn't normal vanilla Wine. If your using normal Wine that is supported here, it will be ran command line.

rename winetricks.txt to winetricks

mv winetricks /Users/mo/Library/Application\ Support/Wine/winetricks

restart wine
