NEWB Question please help for love of god.

Everytime i open a wine program the window doesnt display on my desktop screen. i see the program open on my dock, i see the window in mission control or my windows view, i can use in if change to full screen mode as well. i cannot for the life of figure out how to just have it open and running in a window on my desktop just like all my other programs.
