PID error when running app in one location but not another

I'm a new wine user, so i'm not very good with it yet, but

I'm trying to run No$GBA on my Mac. So far, it only works when the app is located in my Downloads folder. If I move it anywhere else, I get the

ERROR! launching wineserver failed! no new wineserver PID found!

I have tried downloading the app directly into the folder from which I want it to run, but that doesn't change anything.

Can anyone help my with this?

Sounds like you're using wineskin, right?

That wrapper around wine has its own forum; it isn't supported here.
