v1.2 for download?

Post by hasiz »

Err, not sure what's going on my end but when I got to the main website (http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/) it only lists version 1.1.44 for download, which is all well and good but it keep reminding me to update to version 1.2!

Well I couldn't find it on the website, but then did thanks to Google but found that the 1.2.2 "Stable" version wasn't even hosted, which was also the error reason why it wouldn't download from within Wine Bottler too.

So, what's going on, is this project still going? It seems strange that the front page would have such an old version (1.2x came out in 2010 according to Google!), how do I get v1.2 and do I want it?

Many thanks!

v1.2 for download?

Hi!
This mailing list and forum is purely for native wine, not winebottler. We
don't know anything about winebottler websites and download links. Wine is
alive and well, current (development, but rather stable) version is 1.3.33.
Official wine pages are at http://www.winehq.org, so go there and look for
the latest wine version in the Download section.
With regards, Pavel

I consider WineBottler to be abandonware. Mike's support web site has
not been updated since April and I have not received a reply to any
e-mails sent to him for quite some time.

I suggest Mac users to go to either the MacPorts or Fink web sites and
get the latest development version of Wine from them.
