I installed wine using the Wine Bottler/Wine package but, nothing is working with it. The "Winetrix" is empty and I don't think that it should be. The applications that I download don't work like they should. I'm getting fatal errors and slowness. The wineprefix that I try take so long that I just end up giving up.
I've been all over this website looking for answers but, I just get more confused because I don't understand all of this "source" stuff and I don't know if I should just uninstall all of it and just start over.
Mac OSX
10.6.8
Please help me...I don't unstand what I'm doing...

I highly suggest if you want to use Wine on your Mac, getting MacPorts.
Fink is a few versions behind the current development process.
If you want a 'packager' type program, then you might want to look at
WineSkin.
