Invalid parameters on mac (World of Tanks 6.5)

I am attempiong to run world of tanks on snow leopard, but just before the game finishes loading a battle, wine crashes with the message,
"Internal error, invalid parameters received."

I understand peope get similar problems on ubuntu and there's a workaround on that OS, but what about Mac OSX?

Also, here's the log of the crash:

That version is very old and no longer supported here. Upgrade to the latest development release.

I assume since your using such a very old version, that you are using WineBottler.

WineBottler is a Third party app that is not supported here... I also do not recommend using it as it is very old and hasn't been updated in over a year.

You can use normal Wine from scratch... build yourself and run command line, or you can use some other third party tool that is kept more up to date. If you go with a Third party option, you need to get support from them, and not from here. I'd suggest Wineskin, but then again I am biased since that is my own project, but I do keep it up-to-date.

I'm in the process of building it 1.3.26. It's taking forever, not sure if it's supposed to do that. I'll tell you how it goes when it finishes

Why not suggest using MacPorts or Fink to build Wine with? They are
easier for the beginner, much like your project.

Building Wine from a script can and does take hours...This is because
all of the Unix projects and code has to be built first.

Did you look at the development version of Wine or the stable version?

install "wine-devel" on Macports, not just "wine"

This is after switching to the macports distribution and creating a new .wine directory (and typing winetricks d3dx9_36 vcrun2008 corefonts to add some needed libraries).

Can you run the program from Terminal and capture a logging file
(http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#run_from_terminal) and
(http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).

Post the log file to a site like pastebin.com and post the URL,
including all of the letters/numbers, in this forum topic.

Any updates on this? I get the same error when trying to start WorldOfTanks.exe in wine. I have patched source (raw2.patch and remove-GL_ARB_map_buffer_range patch), built from git (wine-1.3.27) and installed all wintricks suggested in the howto in the AppDB. Installation of World of tanks did not show any errors

I use Snow Leopard 10.6.8

To get it working right... it looks like you'd need to manually build Wine yourself after applying some patches to Wine source code... according to the AppDB entry.... to make it playable.

I have tried just that and I still get the same error that the guy above reports. Can anyone confirm that these are not needed when building wine for World of Tanks:
configure: libsane 32-bit development files not found, scanners won't be supported.
configure: libv4l 32-bit development files not found.
configure: libgphoto2 32-bit development files not found, digital cameras won't be supported.
configure: OSS sound system found but too old (OSSv4 needed), OSS won't be supported.
configure: libcapi20 32-bit development files not found, ISDN won't be supported.
configure: libgsm 32-bit development files not found, gsm 06.10 codec won't be supported.

I got the rest of the dependencies figured out.
