X Error Mac
I'm running Snow Leopard on a fairly new Macbook Pro. Currently wine won't load any windows. I can't seem to find an answer to this problem even though there are a lot of linux info about this. it doesn't seem to work on mac.
This is what is output in Terminal:
X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 1 (X_CreateWindow)
Resource id in failed request: 0xe00004
Serial number of failed request: 8
Current serial number in output stream: 14

How did you get Wine? How are you trying to run it when you get the message? Have you installed the latest Xquartz (http://xquartz.macosforge.org/) which is an X server for OSX that Wine needs? There is an Apple version on there by default, but its not that great and can have issues.

Whoa, that's weird.I installed wine via macports. and i do have the latest xquartz. Xquartz will run gimp and other applications like that. I am just trying to run winecfg.

Something is seriously wrong with your setup, and I just can't place

Try reinstalling XQuartz. That's about all I can think of at this point.
