steam crashes

So I downloaded wine a few days ago trying to play windows games on my MacBook Pro and I installed wine and I don't know what to do to get my computer to run these games. I do know a little about computers but I am still going to need a specific step by step to get me to be able to run the windows version of steam.

yes I know that it is there but when I put the code into terminal it does not work.

You're going to have to be much more specific. Exactly what have you tried, and what happened at each step?

I am just going to start from scratch, I downloaded wine form a website but it came with wine bottler so I think it is a third party wine so where do I download the true version of wine from? and then what do I have to do to download and play the windows version of steam in my mac keeping in mind that I am not very tech savvy.
