Rosetta Stone 3.4.5

Post by Ryu »

I am trying to get this to work. It installs fine in Fedora 36 XFCE with wine installed but when I launch it, the application opens and gives the following application error.

Rosetta stone Fatal Application Error: #2111
Error #2032

I can't find any stated solution that works like installing msxml3, msxml4, msxml6.

This program supposedly works in wine but I can't find any guide in how to make it work.

The latest test report in the AppDB is pretty old, so it may not apply to current Wine, but that reporter did say they used a 32 bit wineprefix in addition to installing msxml3. Did you try a 32 bit wineprefix?

The fact that it is "Marked as obsolete" might also be a bit telling.

I tried both and it did not work. The program itself will launch. It just then runs a check once it launches and the program in its own graphical interface is showing those errors.

That would imply there is at least some version of wine I can get this to work for. I still need to figure out how though.
