An especially persistant example of a seemingly simple error (c0000135)

Post by seafer »

Good afternoon, everyone.
As the subject explains, this is a seemingly impossible to overcome example of a very common and commonly fixed error. c0000135 "wine:could not load kernel32.dll" has persisted throughout my attempts to repair it using solutions from a variety of other forums. I am running Slackware 15 with kernel 5.15.19 and wine version 7.0. The problem occurs when running any kind of windows software, so the problem is universal.

The program I'm trying to run, a fan remake of Sonic 06 currently in active development, produces no output of any kind beyond c0000135. I'm not entirely sure what configuration files or further outputs I should be posting, so please ask and I will gladly post pastebins to any requested information.
