Hello Everyone,
We required to install the WINE packages to handle 32bit and 64 bit exe in linux server(RHEL7.7). Can anyone give us the detailed steps to build the WINE32 or any direct link to download the WINE32 for the RHEL 7.7 versions.
Along with that kindly provide the installation guide as well.
Thanks
Satheesh
Need WINE-32 Bit RPM and Installation Steps for RHEL 7.7
Re: Need WINE-32 Bit RPM and Installation Steps for RHEL 7.7
Can any of you give a suggestion on this topic?
Re: Need WINE-32 Bit RPM and Installation Steps for RHEL 7.7
AFAIK, while RHEL provides a basic 32 bit build environment, it does not provide all of Wine's 32 bit dependencies. That's why we can't build packages for it.
Some CentOS and Scientific Linux users did manage to build 32 bit Wine. Both distros are now defunct, but their instructions may help you get started. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=23434

Hi Dimesio,
We tried to follow the link to build 32 bit wine. But we stuck with many dependencies while we execute the dnf fedore 32/33/34 stable versions. How to get all the dependencies to move further on version RHEL 7.7
Thanks

The lack of 32 bit dependencies is precisely why we can't build RHEL packages, either. There's nothing we can do to help.

@Satheesh
Surely it would be easier to run Wine in a Linux Container - if you are using a pure 64-bit Enterprise distribution??!
There are certainly Docker containers around - which have a preinstalled Wine + winetricks setup. YMMV!
