iTunes 64bit on Wine 6.0

I'm talking to a friend about upgrading his old iMac to Ubuntu Budgie. iTunes is not available for Linux. I don't really know what it does or if it is necessary to get music from the Apple store, if it isn't and there is an equivalent Linux application that would answer my question. However, I'm assuming it is necessary, so have tried running it with Wine 6. It starts and shows a screen, but it is black and all I can see on it is a few words which I assume are menu items. Completely unusable. Are there any settings in Wine I could use to change the style to make it readable? As it stands I can't even test to see if it works.

Most likely it's this Wine Bug: Bug 47165 - iTunes 12.9.4+ user interface is rendered black (only text visible) .
This WineHQ Bug report has a link to iTunes 12.9.4.102 (which works OK - apparently).

That looks like it. The file in the link won't install though, I'll have to do some fiddling around.

There are some comments for 12.x version for iTunes - at the bottom of the WineHQ AppDB: iTunes / 12.x webpage.
They are bit old (the newest comment is September 2019) - but might be helpful!
