Hi,
I have a lenovo T61 I'd like to use to play StarCraft BroodWar 1.15.2, running Arch Linux.
It runs perfectly and smoothly on an arch linux starcraft boot usb stick we made years ago, running wine 3.15.
If I start starcraft that was installed on the arch linux that's on the SSD that's in there, I experience really choppy gameplay and mouse movement. It has the newest version of wine-staging. I've tried wine (normal) but that didn't help.
Why is the normal hard drive so much slower than the USB stick? All it does is run awesomewm as window manager and run starcraft, not much more than the USB stick. Does it have to do with the version difference?
