Dear all,
I found an old subject about using Wine on Yocto. Unfortunately, there were no answers and the topic is closed.
I would like to use a Windows app on a plateform on which Yocto is installed (I have no other choice), thus I would like to know wether I can use Wine between Yocto and my app.
Thanks for your feedback.
Coach.
Wine HQ on Yocto
Re: Wine HQ on Yocto
I had to look on the net to see what Yocto even was. It states that it is meant for embedded and IoT. It also sounds like it is not meant for a gui'd application. What is your app? Does it use a GUI? Keep in mind that Yocto appears also meant to be used for multiple hardware architectures - ARM, x86, et al. As such it would need a cross compiler to be generated for those multiple architectures. I don't know but I don't think Wine currently is cross platform like that - I think it is meant for x86/x64. I'm not sure I could see trying to run wine with Yocto would make much sense.
