Does Wine open Repetier Host on Linux Mint 20

Hello Community,
Thank you for accepting me here.
I'm trying to open my Repetier host to make work my RepRap 3D printers. This file was in Win7 and I moved it to Linux Mint partition on my desktop Lenovo thinkcentre. I've been playing with all the possible files and the .exe came with a notice that says that I eneeded to be resgistered to Wine, which I just did. What would be the first step to set up Repetier Host, if possible?

Why don't you use the native Linux version?

Hi jkfloris,
Honestly, I tried downloading Repetier version for Linux and open it on screen but couldn't get a dialogue between the Host and the 3D printer after trying different ways and asked for help at Linux Mint forum. Unfortunately, couldn't find anybody that have done it and can share the experience. After more than a month my post has a lot of views but no answers yet.
