Wine not working with Ubuntu 18.04

I have tried several different ways to install and use wine but it doesn't show up on my applications list. It doesn't install completely. How can I get it to work?

Wine doesn't create menu entries for itself or its builtin programs. When you install something with Wine, menu entries for that app will be created (assuming the app creates Start menu entries for itself in Windows).
