Need help with Linux and Windows fonts

Post by Lend27 »

I installed a Windows version of Playground Sessions which is a piano instruction program.
It runs fine using Wine-Staging, but the one issue I have is the inability to properly render the Flat musical symbol.
This is a known issue with the Windows version of the program, but is easily resolved by installing Windows Japanese Supplemental Fonts.
How would I go about installing those fonts in my Wine-Staging install?

Many Thanks for any help you can provide!

Here is a screenshot illustrating the problem. You can see next to my mouse pointer that the Flat musical symbol is not being rendered properly.
Hoping someone can tell me how I can load windows Japanese Supplemental Fonts into Wine. That should fix the issue.

I think this program uses the MS UI Gothic font.
Copy the msgothic_01.ttf file from a Windows machine to ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/Fonts
