Version Mismatch 597/590

Post by HyPerMax5 »

Bought Need For Speed Heat about 5 days ago and I got it running on Linux because it wasn't even working on windows where I initially tried it.
So EA locks me out of my account like twice claiming I've accessed it from too many computers, complete BS, I sit it out.

So now after the second time I got locked out and waited through EA's BS I just finally want to play the game I paid money for and now Wine is deciding to not work anymore, it was literally working yesterday and I changed absolutely nothing!

Launched Lutris in debug to see what's happening and it keeps giving me this:

Code: Select all

Running /home/max/.local/share/lutris/runners/wine/lutris-4.12.1-x86_64/bin/wine /home/max/My_Games/origin/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Origin/Origin.exe
wine client error:0: version mismatch 597/590.
Your wine binary was not upgraded correctly,
or you have an older one somewhere in your PATH.
Or maybe the wrong wineserver is still running?
Waiting on children
Exit with returncode 1
I've also tried using my system version of Wine, I've tried using literally every version from 4.11 until 4.21.
I have reinstalled Wine multiple times with "The most nuclear option" pacman -Rcs wine.
And then cleared the cache each time with sudo pacman -Sccl.

I really just want to play this game because for the 3 hours I did get to play I actually had fun....
