WineHQ Staging/GTK3 Theming Questions

Post by jakfish »

In previous versions of WineHQ Staging (I think it was 4.18 and below), there was an option in the winecfg staging tab for enabling gtk3 theming, but that's gone now.

From reading through the posts here, I understand that this option has been deprecated throughout the versions, but I'd like to have it nonetheless.

With Linux Mint 19.2 (xfce) and a Surface Pro 6, I use Windows 10 Dark Theme ( https://b00merang.weebly.com/windows-10.html ). After upgrading to WineHQ Staging 4.19, the Dark theme still runs in Wine despite the inability to tick "Enable GTK3 Theming"

But with a fresh install of Linux Mint/Staging 4.19, I can't run the theme unless I edit user.reg ( https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2395368 ). In some of my scripting, this presents problems (too boring to explore here).

Is there a way to run a GTK3 them in WineHQ staging without editing the user.reg?
