Wine 4.0.2 on ElementaryOS 5.0 Juno

Post by GrievingTuna »

I am trying to install Wine on a ElementaryOS 5.0 laptop but when I follow the Ubuntu install instructions the command line returns with

Code: Select all

  Temporary failure resolving 'dl,winehq.org'
Fetched 1,398 kB in 20s (69.8 kB/s)
Reading package lists... Done
W: Failed to fetch https://dl,winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/dists/cosmic/InRelease Temporary failure resolving 'dl,winehq.org'
W: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
When I try to add the repository. I don't know how to make it so the computer can add the repository.

Thanks in advance.

Ubuntu "Cosmic" aka 18.10 is EOL, and no longer supported.

Afaik ElementaryOS Juno is built on Ubuntu 18.04, and you should have selected "bionic" instead of "cosmic".

Plus you've got a comma instead of a period in the hostname.
