Status on tablet support?

Post by jigglywiggly » Tue Jul 30, 2019 8:50 pm

I am using Manjaro Deepin 5.1 kernel, my tablet the Huion dwh69 is natively supported in this kernel.
I have tried to use various verisons of Photoshop in Wine, CS6, CC2014 and CC2019 and none of them offer pen pressures support. I have seen reports of people getting wine tablet support to work but they are usually on very old versions of Wine.
Tablet support works great in native Linux apps, Krita, Xournapp etc.

I am on Wine wine-4.12.1 (Staging)

In my experience, tablet support is still sub-par. There's a bunch of bugreports regarding pressure support, see https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11846 for example. I guess providing more information for debugging can't hurt.

Thanks for letting me know about the bugtracker. For the heck of it, I tried Photoshop CS2 in crossover which is Wine 4.0 and tablet is working great. Unfortunate it's CS2 and really old at this point. I tried CS2 in Wine 4.12-staging and tablet support there is broken. I tried CS6 in Crossover and tablet support doesn't work there.
