MDAC27 setup hangs forever

I'm trying to install MDAC27 (MDAC_TYP.EXE) on a clean wineprefix (32bit, win7 or winxp). No matter what i try it hangs with 100% cpu when it starts installing. There is no setup related console output.

Any idea how to install it?

Can you show us the console output? How exactly did you install mdac27? Maybe it's an issue with missing libraries (32/64bit)?

Updated today to Wine-staging 4.9. Now it works.
